University of Basrah organizes the annual employment conference for its graduates
College of Engineering at University of Basrah, in cooperation with Chinese Petroleum Engineering and Construction Company (SIPAC), organized the annual recruitment conference for engineering and administrative specializations.
Dean of College of Engineering, Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, stated that the conference discussed developing skills and taking advantage of the opportunities that lie in the new markets in Iraq.
He added that the university is keen to support young people in all fields by providing them with new job opportunities, in addition to enhancing their role in entrepreneurship by standing by young people who own medium and small projects by overcoming all obstacles and opening all ways for them to reduce unemployment, in addition to sponsoring innovators and inventors. The projects that young people submit for research projects are supported to become real projects on the ground.
Emphasizing the importance of this employment conference due to the provision of job opportunities and skills development for young people, and the implementation of the university’s vision to serve students and graduates and its contribution to building and strengthening ties between companies, research centers, students and graduates to improve their career paths and qualify them for the labor market in a professional and institutional manner.
