Continuing Education and Development center at University of Basrah presented a lecture on the ethics of the teaching profession for the updated curriculum teaching methods course for the southern region for all specializations
The aim of the lecture, which is part of the updated curriculum teaching methods course for the southern region for all specializations, is to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes of university professors regarding the ethics of the teaching profession in Iraqi universities
The lecture, presented by Professor Dr. Manaf Abdul-Kazem Muhammad, a lecturer at Technical Administrative College at the Southern Technical University, included defining the concept of ethics and morals, what is the difference between them, types of ethical schools, what is the source of ethics, the concept of ethics of the teaching profession, principles and ethics of the teaching profession, areas, rules and behavior of the teaching profession, rights and responsibilities, the code of ethics of the teaching profession, exercises, activities and video recordings, and a discussion of how to take a position towards them through discussion between the lecturer and trainees
Finally, the recommendation was the need to pay attention to the ethics of the teaching profession through theoretical lessons and applications In the university environment, and commitment to the approved and agreed upon professional ethics charters within university institutions.
