University of Basrah tops Iraqi universities in the British Times Classification 2024
University of Basrah maintained its leading position in the British Times Sustainable Development Classification 2024 for the fourth year in a row, as it ranked first locally, followed by Almustaqbal University , then the University of Baghdad.
Sixty-two Iraqi universities and colleges entered the classification this year and registered competitive positions in the Times Sustainable Development Classification for the year 2024, which included (2,152) educational institutions from (125) countries around the world. The published official results indicated that University of Basrah ranked first globally (401-600), then Almustaqbal University (601-800), followed by University of Baghdad ranked (601-800).
It is noteworthy that the British Times Sustainable Development Classification evaluates universities by achieving a number of (17) United Nations goals, including quality of education, health and well-being, partnerships, industry and innovation.
