University of Basrah holds the second international scientific conference on artificial intelligence
College of Administration and Economics at University of Basrah held the second international scientific conference on explainable and applicable artificial intelligence in digital sustainability under the slogan (Contemporary trends in artificial intelligence to build a sustainable Iraqi economy) for two days with the participation of researchers from Iraqi, Arab and international universities.
The conference aimed to shed light on accepted scientific research registered with Springer Publishing House.
The conference included the presentation of more than (25) scientific research papers that were discussed in two sessions by specialized committees.
The President of University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim Al-Asadi, stressed in his opening speech the importance of keeping pace with the development witnessed by the world through artificial intelligence to build a sustainable Iraqi economy.
In conclusion, the conference organizers recommended the necessity of using artificial intelligence applications in many fields, including detecting fraud in electronic payment and improving energy in buildings and industrial facilities, and also using it in analytical applications for monitoring and predicting energy consumption to preserve the environment and contribute to reducing expenses and increasing benefits in that field.
