Iraq is the first in Arab world and seventh in the world, and University of Basrah is the first among Iraqi universities in the British Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024
University of Basrah topped the British Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024 for the fourth year in a row, ranking first locally, followed by Al-Mustaqbal University and then University of Baghdad. These advanced ranks led to Iraq ranking first in the Arab world and seventh globally out of (125) countries around the world.
This year, sixty-two Iraqi universities and colleges entered the ranking, registering competitive positions in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, which included (2152) educational institutions from (125) countries. The official published results indicated that University of Basrah topped the list of (401-600) globally, followed by Al-Mustaqbal University (601-800), followed by the University of Baghdad (601-800).
It is noteworthy that the British Times Sustainable Development Ranking evaluates universities by achieving a number of (17) United Nations goals, including quality education, health, well-being, partnerships, industry and innovation.
