Issuance of a book by a lecturer at University of Basrah on statistical applications in agricultural geography
A book entitled "Statistical Applications in Agricultural Geography: Basrah Governorate as a Model" was issued by a lecturer at College of Education for Girls at University of Basrah, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Diwan.
The book, which included 424 pages distributed over eight chapters, dealt with the most important statistical applications in climate, water resources, soil, irrigation, forecasting crop productivity, fertilizers, and land needs for agricultural machinery.
The book shed light on contemporary climate problems such as drought, water deficit, salts, water losses, and protected agriculture for crops grown in Basrah Governorate.
