University of Basrah organizes a lecture on the effect of silver nanoparticles against biofilm
Marine Science Center at University of Basrah organized a lecture on the effect of silver nanoparticles against biofilm.
The lecture, presented by researcher Shaima Awad Bajai, aims to introduce nanoscience, its history, and the first scientists who contributed to its development and definition.
The lecture included an explanation of the effect of silver nanoparticles manufactured using green methods and knowledge of the anti-biofilm activity, as these particles work to adhere to and penetrate biofilms and then destroy them.
The lecture touched on the methods of manufacturing nanomaterials, how to diagnose them, the necessary tests for diagnosis, and the most important medical and environmental fields used in the applications of nanomaterials as an effective material against (Biofilm) and against infections resulting from infection with pathogenic bacteria, and the use of nano as a sterilizing material for water and its use in bioremediation to remove heavy metals from wastewater.
