The thesis presented by the researcher (Hadi Abdul Samad Jaber) aims to prepare some organic triazole derivatives and their inhibitory activity against carbon steel corrosion
The thesis included a study of the preparation of new triazole compounds by reacting a series of azides with di-beta ketone and the resulting compounds were characterized using techniques and the prepared compounds were used as corrosion inhibitors
The thesis concluded that the values of the corrosion current density in the presence of inhibitors are less than their values in the absence of inhibitors
The inhibition efficiency increases with increasing inhibitor concentration and decreases with increasing temperatures for all inhibitors
Changing the temperature has an effect on the rate of corrosion speed and current, and the inhibition efficiency of one of the compounds was higher than the remaining compounds
The thesis recommended the preparation of other triazole derivatives And compare them with the prepared compounds
Conduct diagnostic measurements to prove those compounds
Application of compounds as anti-corrosion and the extent of their effect on corrosion of steel at high temperatures
