A doctoral thesis at College of Agriculture at University of Basrah examined the effect of polyamines and zeolites on the anatomical and physiological characteristics and defense system of the Jabjab date palm seedlings growing under heavy element stress conditions
The aim of the thesis presented by the researcher (Aqila Mahdi Saleh) is to study the defense system of date palm seedlings
The thesis included the possibility of using some polyamines and zeolites in the agricultural field, and confirming their significant role in mitigating the negative effects of the accumulation of heavy elements in plant tissues and regulating the balance of active oxygen metabolism under heavy element pollution stress and stabilizing the structure of the membrane system. Polyamines and zeolites can increase the activity of many antioxidant enzymes in plants, so that they can effectively regulate oxidative stress in plants due to various environmental factors, thus protecting plants from That stress and improve its resistance
