College of Physical Education is crowned with the University President's Cup for Futsal for Professors 2024

The final of the Futsal for university professors concluded at College of Fine Arts and Arts stadium at University of Basrah, as part of the qualifiers for the University President's Cup World Cup 2024.

 College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences team for professors won first place in the tournament after defeating its counterpart, the University Presidency team for professors, with a score of (8-10) goals, so that the University Presidency team for professors came in second place, while the teams of professors from the College of Engineering and Agriculture shared third place in the tournament.

Regarding the atmosphere of competition and honoring the teams and players, the Director of the Student Activities Department and the organizing body of the tournament, Dr. Ghassan Habib Abdul Wahab, said, “Player Hudhayfah Najm from College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences won the title of top scorer in the tournament, while goalkeeper and Director of the Student Affairs Department, Dr. Shukri Shaker, won the title of best goalkeeper in the tournament for his brilliance in goalkeeping and scoring the fewest goals in his net in all stages of the qualifiers, while player Dr. Ahmed Abdul Amir won the title of ideal player in the tournament, while player Mustafa Sadiq was crowned with the title of best player in the tournament.”
