A scientific study at University of Basrah investigates the innovation of an algorithm to find solutions to mathematical problems
A scientific study at University of Basrah prepared by lecturers at College of Engineering at University of Basrah investigated the innovation of a new optimal algorithm inspired by the principle of rust spread behavior.
The study, which was published in the international journal (Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering), one of the journals affiliated with the international publishing house (Springer) and classified within the Clarivate containers and with an impact factor of (2.6) Scopus (CiteScore=4.4) within the first quarter Q1, included the innovation of this algorithm from the behavior of rust spread on metal surfaces based on its spread equations and modeling its movement in the horizontal and vertical direction on the surface of the conductor.
The results of the study concluded that the standard equations used in testing all the new algorithms. The accuracy of their results and the possibility of relying on them mathematically and engineeringly have been proven. The algorithm was also used in shaping the electromagnetic radiation of the shaping antennas used in military applications and remote sensing applications used in imaging soil layers and imaging celestial bodies. The algorithm gave better results than those obtained from previously proposed algorithms.
