University of Basrah reveals a polymeric material that retains its properties for more than three years
Director of Polymer Research Center at University of Basrah, Dr. Zainab Jumaa Suwaij, revealed that a polymeric material produced in the center's laboratories retained all its chemical and physical properties for a period exceeding three years from the time of manufacture.
Zainab expressed by saying, "Our research team at the center has been able to prepare an adhesive polymeric material used in construction work to bond concrete partitions and bricks instead of cement for more than three years. The suitability of this material was tested after that period, as it was found that it retained all its chemical and physical properties despite the change in environmental factors and climatic conditions. Recent tests have also proven the durability and strength of this material and its continued suitability for thermal and electrical insulation."
