A doctoral thesis at University of Basrah examines the Iranian Kurdish political movement
A doctoral thesis was conducted at College of Arts at University of Basrah (The Iranian Kurdish political movement 1979 - 1991).
The thesis presented by the student Aqil Jabbar Kataa aims to shed light on the political developments of minorities in Iran, especially Kurdish nationalism, which is the focus of the thesis.
The thesis concluded that all non-Persian minorities, especially the Kurdish nationalism, were not given their national rights after the success of the Islamic Revolution, because it conflicts with the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of 1979.
The thesis recommended that all minorities in Iran be given their rights equally, especially since Iran is home to many non-Persian minorities.
