College of Education for Pure Sciences in Department of Chemistry at University of Basrah is looking for a master's thesis on the preparation, spectral, thermodynamic and biological activity of foylorite salts
The thesis presented by the researcher (Huda Nouri Abdul Zahra) aims to prepare foyloric acid and then react it with a number of aromatic amines to synthesize foylorite salts. The prepared compounds were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, negative and positive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance
And studying the biological activity of the prepared compounds against two types of bacteria, namely Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus
And studying the effect of the solvent on the mass spectrum of the compound in positive electrospray ionization spectra.
And studying the electronic spectra of the compounds with dimethyl sulfoxide and ethanol solvent.
The thesis concluded from the results of the biological activity study that some of the studied compounds have a good ability to inhibit Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus aureus.
The results of the computer study also showed that the studied compounds have the property of nonlinear optical response.
