College of Nursing at University of Basrah organized a workshop on the obstetric care guide in cooperation with the Basrah Health Department.
The workshop addressed a set of steps that can be applied in delivery rooms to achieve a safe birth for both mother and child. The target group was third-year students in the morning and evening studies.
Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood confirmed that the workshop sessions were distinguished, noting that she was among the people who aspire to raise this topic in a scientific and practical manner, especially since obstetric care is a very important topic due to its connection to students and the family, which is the basic foundation of society.
Lecturer Dr. Salma Abbas Ali said that the ministerial program of health departments is a pioneer in the topic of long-term community initiatives, especially with regard to community development, noting that society has some challenges in dealing with children, which requires searching for the most effective ways to confront these challenges.
