University of Basrah organizes an exhibition of the products of the art therapy course for the wounded of the Popular Mobilization Forces
College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Popular Mobilization Authority, organized an exhibition of the products of the art therapy course entitled "The Tale of Al-Taf" for the wounded of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the courtyards of the Jaafar Al-Tayyar (peace be upon him) Complex, in the presence of the representative of the President of the University and his assistant for scientific affairs, Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, and a large official and academic gathering.
The exhibition aimed to improve the psychological and physical condition of the wounded of the Popular Mobilization Forces and enhance the sense of self by creating beautiful artistic paintings.
The exhibition included a distinguished group of creative paintings that reflect the skills and creativity of the participating wounded, which were supervised by a group of professors from College of Fine Arts who contributed to the success of the training course and highlighting the creativity of the participants in a special exhibition that included their distinguished paintings.
During the opening of the exhibition, the University Assistant President expressed his deep gratitude to the supervisors of the work who were honored, stressing the importance of art as a therapeutic means that contributes to the rehabilitation of the wounded and enables them to express their feelings and overcome the psychological difficulties they face, and that such initiatives enhance self-confidence and social integration.
