University of Basrah participates in the ceremony of raising the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing
In conjunction with the increasing flow of visitors coming through the crossing to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the University of Basrah participated in the ceremony of raising the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the Shalamcheh border crossing in the presence of the university president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, local government officials, seminary students, the Popular Mobilization Authority, and Husseini bodies.
It is noteworthy that University of Basrah has strengthened its service and logistical presence at the Shalamcheh border crossing in conjunction with the increase in the number of visitors, while completing its preparations to launch the large annual procession towards the holy Karbala to renew loyalty and covenant with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
