University of Basrah organizes a seminar on the amended and added paragraphs to the ninth amendment to the law of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
The presidency of University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (A detailed study of the amended and added paragraphs to the ninth amendment to the law of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research published in the Iraqi Gazette No. 4785, and the added and amended paragraphs to the third amendment and the fourth amendment to the instructions of Higher Education Fund No. 122 of 1999) in the presence of the directors of accounts, auditing and legal experts in the university formations.
The seminar aims to convey the latest amendments to the laws of Higher Education Fund and other laws to specialists in this regard and to discuss the mechanism for dealing with these laws.
The university president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, indicated that the seminar addressed topics that keep pace with the development and amendment in the laws of the ministry, including allowances and promotions, and addresses the existence of problems and obstacles related to the Higher Education Fund according to the latest amendments to unify visions between the presidency and its affiliated formations. We also addressed the issue of university housing and other administrative matters in this seminar.
The University Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal, spoke about the structure of the Higher Education Fund Council in universities and that it should be an independent fund whose members enjoy a two-year term and be financed by certain percentages of evening study fees, revenues from consulting offices, and investment of movable and immovable assets.
