The medical detachment affiliated with University of Basrah, under the supervision of the head of the medical detachments, Dr. Nofal Ali Al-Mubarak, and in cooperation with Al-Faihaa General Hospital, conducted a gastric opening operation for feeding under regional anesthesia, guided by ultrasound, for a visitor who was involved in a traffic accident while heading to Karbala to repair the generators of his procession.

It is noteworthy that the medical detachment of University of Basrah serves the Arbaeen visitors at the Shalamcheh border crossing in the form of a mini-hospital managed by an accompanying medical and health staff in coordination with the Basrah Health Department, and supports medical services at the health center.
