A doctoral thesis at University of Basrah examines the effect of a locally manufactured nutritional drink on physical abilities
A doctoral thesis at College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Basrah examined the effect of a locally manufactured nutritional drink on some physical, skill and biochemical abilities of football players.
The thesis presented by researcher Mazen Ali Lazem aims to know the importance of the process of developing biochemical indicators and physical and skill abilities of football players, which affect the energy levels in the player's body, making him more in need of compensating for the deficiency in energy present in the working muscles.
The thesis concluded the necessity of paying attention to the aspect of feeding players with correct nutrition in terms of quantity and quality, as it is an integral part of the team preparation curriculum and complementary to the physical and skill preparation aspect, as well as conducting a periodic examination of players to examine enzymes before preparation, as it will give a complete picture of the player's physical and functional aspects.
