A book entitled The Legal Status of Pharmaceutical Factories was published by a lecturer at College of Law at University of Basrah, Itidal Abdul Baqi.
The book, which included 282 pages distributed over two chapters, addressed the legal status of pharmaceutical factories as one of the delicate topics that require a lot of contemplation due to its sensitivity and difficulty at times, addressing the concept of pharmaceutical factories by defining the pharmaceutical factory and explaining its importance. It became clear that the pharmaceutical factory is the entity in which medicines are produced and prepared in their final form or in the form of raw materials used in the pharmaceutical industry. This industry is carried out according to a system called the Raw Materials Constitution, which specifies the specifications and standards of the raw materials used in the composition. The factory must register the medicine and special preparations before starting to manufacture them.
The book highlighted that the legal status of pharmaceutical factories depends largely on the country and regions in which these factories operate in general. Pharmaceutical factories are subject to a number of regulations and legislations that aim to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medicines, as well as protect public health.
