A scientific study at University of Basrah prepared by the lecturer Dr. Hassan Awda Abdullah in College of Administration and Economics / Al-Qurna entitled "Entrepreneurial culture and leadership: Evidence of the importance of intention" investigated how leadership and entrepreneurial culture affect entrepreneurial behavior through the mediating role of entrepreneurial intention in the hotel industry in Iraq.
The study, which was published in the journal (Global Business and Organizational Excellence) published by the international publishing house (Wiley) issued from the United States of America and classified within Scopus containers (Q1) with a citation index (CiteScore=8.8), showed how leadership and entrepreneurial culture affect entrepreneurial behavior through the mediating role of entrepreneurial intention in the hotel industry in Iraq.
The study emphasized the crucial role of entrepreneurial intention in the emergence of actual behavior. Entrepreneurial intention acts as a comprehensive mediator that mediates the relationship between leadership, entrepreneurial culture, and entrepreneurial behavior. This emphasizes the pivotal role of individual intentions in translating organizational influences into concrete actions.
