A scientific study at University of Basrah examines the application of the pattern search algorithm and the genetic algorithm
A scientific study at University of Basrah prepared by the two lecturers in College of Engineering, Dr. Raad Jamal Jassim and Dr. Rahim Khazal Masawil, examined.
The study, which was published in the Journal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing Q2 Impact factor 3.3
Open Access by MDPI, showed the use of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes worldwide in applications such as main water networks, gas networks, sewage networks, fire system supply lines, electricity and communications channels, rainwater and sewage pipes due to their excellent mechanical and chemical features such as the hardness of polyethylene and its resistance to chemicals, as well as its resistance to corrosion and light weight, in increasing its use in situations that require cost-effective and durable fluid and gas piping systems.
The results of the study reached the developments of butt fusion welding for high-density polyethylene pipes by exploring the relationship between the performance of welding joints by studying the maximum tensile strength and exploring the dimensions of the welding joint. The effect of welding pressure, heater temperature, storage time and cooling time on the weld quality was studied.
