According to Stanford University classification in the United States: Choosing the first scientist at University of Basrah.
According to the classification approved by Stanford University in United States, the University President Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ali Hussein Rishak, was selected as the first scientist at University of Basrah and among the best 2% of scientists in the world for the number of his specialized researches published in the international magazines.
It’s mentioned that Dr. Ali Hussein Rishak was ranked the first scientist in Iraq, the Middle East and among the top ten scientists in the world and has the highest H-index at University of Basrah and the rest of the Iraqi universities. He is considered the most published and quoted researcher in Iraq and Arabic world, as he published more than 550 international researches and the number of citations to his published research reached more than 16,000 citations and quotations. He published seven books studied in international universities and a number of international patents. He was also classified for six consecutive years as one of the best 2% of researchers in the world and announced at Stanford University in the United States.
Rishak won the Science Day Award for two consecutive years, Knights of Scientific Research shield, and was nominated for Iraqi Scientist title at University of Basra. So He was considered the only Iraqi scientist that won the Abdul Hameed Shoman International Award as the best Arabic scientist,he was also awarded a honorary doctorate in engineering by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Mahateer Mohamad, in recognition of his service to humanity. He also worked in a large number of prestigious international universities
in Europe and Asia.
He recently got a membership in the Arabic Institution Board of directors for Science and Technology, headquartered in United Arab Emirates.
