Basrah University specifies an alternative location for the current health clinic, as part of its plan to improve its medical services
University of Basrah specified an alternative location for the current health clinic in Garmat Ali site. That is after a meeting that included the university president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, the dean of College of Medicine, and the director of the university's projects department with the director of health prevention in the governorate and the director of the health sector in Al-Hartha.
The university president said, "One of our priorities is to provide the highest levels of health care for our students, and from this point of view we undertake to develop the health infrastructure in our sites, and after agreement with Basrah Health Department, we ordered to transfer the health clinic in Garmat Ali site to another building within the same site in order to expand medical services providing for our staff and students."
The dean of College of Medicine, Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, stated that we chose a better building than the current health center building, which is in danger of collapse because it is old, as the new site will be reinforced with additional rooms to become nine rooms that provide all health services similar to advanced countries, as well as we will equip the center with an ambulance furnished with medical supplies and emergency equipment by cooberating with Basrah Health Department.
