University of Basrah organizes a discussion session on the seven Quranic readings.
Arab Gulf Studies centre organized a discussion session entitled (Quranic readings and the Seven Letters Prophetic tradition).
The session, presented by Dr. Ayman Salih Ne'mah, included an explanation of the term Quranic readings, the rules of correct reading and the reasons for their differences, and a statement of the first scholars to write about the readings and the most famous of those readings transmitted in Holy Quran.
The session reviewed the Prophetic tradition about the seven letters "The Quran was revealed in seven letters, all of which are healing and sufficient" with an explanation of its source, text and interpretation according to the public people and a comparison with the seven readings of the Quranic readers according to their efforts in reading the letters in the Quranic Mushaf, which was devoid of dots and diacritical marks at the time of its revelation.
