A lecturer at University of Basrah participates in a conference on the security dimensions of poverty at University of Baghdad.

A lecturer in College of Law at University of Basrah, Dr. Firas Abbas Hashim, participated in the scientific conference held at University of Baghdad.

The participation included presenting a research paper entitled (Strategic Dimensions of Sustainable Development in Confronting the Poverty phenomenon)

The research aimed to clarify the concepts of sustainable development and poverty, as well as the paths of sustainable development as a new opportunity to achieve economic growth and distribute its benefits to the society classes in order to address poverty. Thus, countries are committed to an integrated approach to preparing for economic growth while preserving resources for future generations.
