University of Basrah organizes a seminar on the impact of drugs.
College of Engineering at University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Youths Ambassadors Program in Basrah affiliated with the Supreme Council for Youths, organized a seminar on the impact of drugs on the individual and society.
The seminar aims to raise awareness for university students and the community about the social and health risks of drugs, with emphasising on the role of education in preventing and combating this dangerous scourge.
The seminar included a statement of drug-related crimes, various methods of abuse, and preventive and therapeutic measures. The focus was also on the penal policy and laws related to drug crimes, in addition to the importance of the role of university students in enhancing cultural awareness and contributing effectively to raising awareness of the dangers of drugs.
