University of Basrah organizes a workshop on accounting work.
Department of financial affairs at University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled (Accounting Work Procedures in the Presidency of University of Basrah and its Formations) in the presence of the university president assistant for administrative affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal, and with the participation of accountants from all colleges and centers.
The workshop aimed to increase knowledge of accounting work procedures in the budget division of the university presidency and to prepare for the completion of the final accounts for the year 2024.
The workshop, in which the head of the budget division in the university presidency, Farah Asaad Jumaa, lectured, dealt with explaining the accounting and administrative work cycle in the budget division and clarifying some work requirements, as well as exchanging information among the university formations, in addition to presenting the most important obstacles facing the work.
Dr. Haider Khazal mentioned the necessity of starting to implement the electronic automation system, in which Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has advanced stages, and he emphasised on the organization of ministerial instructions and the financial control bureau related to the budget and collecting them in order to re-circulate them for the benefit of new appointments at the university.
