University of Basrah Organizes a Campaign to Raise Awareness of Breast Cancer
The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basrah organized a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and its early detection.
The dean of the College of Education for Girls, Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul Karim, stated that the campaign coincides with the annual anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is held in October of each year.
Adding that the university pays great attention to spreading health awareness, especially with regard to ways to prevent cancer and encourage early detection, which improves the chances of recovery for those infected, and that the campaign included ways to prevent breast cancer and its causative factors, encouraging periodic examinations and breaking the barrier of fear with knowledge.
Reaffirming that early detection helps increase the rate of recovery and survival, the university pays great attention to promoting health by intensifying health awareness in this field.
