University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on the Basics of writing Historical Research
The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the basics of writing a scientific historical research methodology.
The workshop aims to introduce the historical research methodology as a tool to investigate with the events and operations that took place in the past. It is also the method that analyze and interpret historical events as a basis to understand contemporary problems and predict what will be in the future.
The workshop, which was lectured by Dr. Saif Muataz Al-Manaseer, included a statement of the research plan and its divisions into chapters and topics, types of scientific sources, the method of collecting those sources, details of recording them, transferring information from the source used and recording it on note papers, then transferring it to the research papers in the form of texts and margins.
The researcher, Yusra Imad also addressed in her lecture the method of writing by setting questions and hypotheses to be answered during the research, in addition to including paragraphs from several sources that suit the main title of the topic and provide answers to all the questions posed by the researcher.
