Basrah University Sponsors Joint Cultural Project with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain
As part of enhancing cooperation frameworks between Basrah University and the holy shrines, the university president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, welcomed a delegation from the Religious Affairs Department of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain. The delegation included preachers from Basrah province: Sheikh Hani Abdul Nabi and Sheikh Adnan Al-Salhi.
During the visit, discussions were held on joint coordination to continue implementing the cultural project that the university and the shrine have been working on for 15 years. This project focuses on spreading Islamic culture through lectures and organizing cultural and dialogue sessions for students to raise their awareness about their religion, instill moral values, and combat negative phenomena affecting young people.
The visiting delegation presented a certificate of gratitude and appreciation from the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain to the President of Basrah University. This was in recognition of his efforts in serving higher education in Basrah province, his sponsorship of cultural activities and religious events, and his support for conducting directive lectures for students.
