University of Basrah organizes a Symposium on the Impact of Psychotropic Substances on University Students
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah organized a symposium on the impact of psychotropic substances on the family and society.
The symposium aims to identify all types of narcotic substances and their danger on humans because they destroy the cells of the nervous system and the rest of the cells of the human body in the case of addiction to them, which leads to the spread of crime due to their negative effects on the psychological state of the addicted person.
The symposium included several working papers that addressed the negative impact of drug abuse and the resulting risks to human health, in addition to their destructive social and economic effects, its risks on the university students and their repercussions on the educational process and the importance of educating students about the catastrophic risks of drug abuse or accompanying drug users and promoters.
