University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Measurement, Evaluation, and Feedback for the Medical Specialization
The Development and Continuing Education centre at Basrah University organized a lecture on measurement, evaluation, and feedback for the medical specialization as part of the third unit in the third Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to familiarize participants with the concepts of measurement, assessment, evaluation, and feedback, as well as their types, importance, and the use of feedback to improve learning and teaching processes.
Presented by Dr. Qutaiba Muslim Dawood, the lecture included defining measurement, evaluation, and assessment; the purposes of measurement; types of evaluation; examination mapping with examples, tasks, and indices of ease and difficulty. It also covered understanding the types of measurement tools, distinguishing between them, and equipping participants with the essential skills needed to design measurement tools and their correction mechanisms.
