Basrah University Organizes Training Course on First Aid
The Marine Science Center at Basrah University, in collaboration with the Red Crescent Society in Basra, organized a training course on first aid with the participation of several staff members.
The course included lectures by paramedics Mr. Zain Al-Aabideen Hasan Ali and Mr. Qusay Abdullah Khudair. They discussed the role of the society during times of peace and war in providing first aid, the key procedures followed by paramedics in emergencies and disasters, the importance of swift action, the need to record the history and type of injury, and how to diagnose its progression to prevent complications.
The course also covered the duties of a paramedic, including providing psychological support to the injured, not neglecting minor injuries, and documenting information to contact the specialized ambulance team.
