Basrah University Organizes a Lecture on the Pythagorean Theory
The College of Arts at Basrah University organized a lecture on the origin of existence according to the Pythagoreans.
The lecture aimed to shed light on the views of the Pythagorean school regarding mathematical and geometric theories and their connection to modern scientific circles, as well as their integration with other sciences such as medicine and astronomy.
The lecture, presented by faculty member Rusul Ali Husein, included an exploration of the topic of "numerology" through the presentation of studies and research that demonstrated that Babylonian civilization preceded the Pythagoreans by a thousand years in mathematics. This is evidenced by artifacts found in the Istanbul Archaeological Museums and Columbia University in New York that belong to the Babylonian civilization and predate the Pythagoreans.
