Basrah University Organizes a Lecture on the Role of Mast Cells in Inflammations
The College of Dentistry at Basrah University organized a lecture on the role of mast cells in inflammations.
The lecture aims to introduce mast cells as significant defensive cells distributed in connective tissue across various parts of the body, including the skin, oral cavity, respiratory tract, and digestive system, among others.
Dr. Fatin Lateef, a faculty member, presented the lecture, which included an introduction to these cells, their classification, how they are identified histologically, their distribution, and their effective role in combating various diseases in the oral cavity, particularly in gum tissues as the first line of defense against different inflammations.
