Basrah University Organizes a Course on Basics of Healthy Nutrition and Contemporary Diseases
The College of Agriculture at Basrah University organized a course on the basics of healthy nutrition and contemporary diseases.
The course aims to highlight the importance of following a balanced and healthy diet and its significance for the health of the community.
Lectured by Dr. Naufal Abdul Ameer Hussein and a group of faculty members, the course covered the relationship between dietary habits and some contemporary diseases through their direct and indirect effects on the microbial balance of natural microorganisms in the digestive tract.
The course recommended the necessity of raising awareness about the risks of unhealthy dietary habits, reducing processed foods and preservatives, and consuming an appropriate amount of fruits and vegetables.
