University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Role of Honoring Parents in Building a Family
The General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with College of Arts, organized a lecture entitled "The role of honoring parents in building a family and social education."
The lecture, presented by Dr. Intisar Adnan Al-Awad, aimed to introduce the importance of the individual's consideration of the rights of parents in order to preserve the societal entity from disintegration, isolation and social diseases, and to explain the commandments of the tolerant Islamic religion in honoring parents.
The lecture shed light on the intellectual legacy narrated by the Imams of Ahl al-Bait (peace be upon them) and their role in interpreting the Qur’anic verses that clarify the rights of parents on children and their commandments related to urging the arousal of religious restraint in individuals and explaining the legal rulings related to the subject.
