Basrah University Organizes a Discussion Session on the Relationship between Shade Plants and Spider Mites
The College of Agriculture at University of Basrah organized a discussion session on the most important families of spider mites that cause economic damage to shade and ornamental plants.
The session, in which lecturer Hayat Muhammad Ridha Mahdi lectured, aimed to identify the types of harmful spider mites and the symptoms of infection resulting from it on shade plants and how to distinguish and diagnose them.
The session addressed methods of prevention and treatment to reduce the damage of this pest, the most important chemical pesticides used to combat the harmful roles of this pest and limit its spread, and the importance of shade and ornamental plants for the beauty and psychological comfort they add, in addition to purify air and preserving the environment.
