University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Refined and Unrefined Salt
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar titled "Refined and Unrefined Salt."
The seminar, delivered by faculty member Noor Hameed, aimed to clarify the impact of salt on health. Regardless of the type of salt used, it should be consumed in moderation. Dietary guidelines recommend reducing sodium intake to less than half a teaspoon daily to avoid various diseases, such as high blood pressure and kidney problems.
The discussion highlighted the fundamental differences between sea salt and table salt in terms of taste, texture, and processing methods applied to each.
