University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Achieving Visual Heritage
The College of Arts at University of Basrah organized a lecture on preserving visual heritage and the prominent scholars working on it.
The lecture aimed to introduce manuscripts, their significance, and the efforts of scholars in obtaining copies of these manuscripts from European countries and beyond.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Tawfiq Dawai Al-Hajjaj, a faculty member at the college, included a presentation of English catalogs that still retain a significant number of Islamic Arabic manuscripts, along with the methods of numbering manuscripts as practiced in copying and authentication works.
