University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on the Role of Women in Economic Development
The College of Administration and Economics in Qurna at Basrah University, in collaboration with Basrah Statistics Directorate, organized a seminar titled "The Role of Women in Economic Development: The Census Model as a Tool for Achieving Balance and Development."
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of the population census as a strategic tool to enhance the role of women in economic development, focusing on achieving balance and sustainable development in society.
The seminar included valuable topics presented by a group of researchers and academics in this field. They provided an analysis of the role of the population census in shaping economic policies supporting women and discussed the impact of women's participation in economic development from a statistical perspective. They also reviewed local and international experiences in using the census to support women’s issues and presented insights on enhancing developmental policies through population data analysis.
At the end of the seminar, certificates of appreciation were presented by Dean Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Jorani to the lecturers in recognition of their significant efforts in accomplishing this seminar.
