For Environmental Sustainability: University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Types and Applications of Solar Panels
The Polymer Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the types and applications of solar panels.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Mohamed Tawfiq Ubaid, included an explanation of the role of solar panels in generating electrical energy, how to select optimal elements for the panel system prepared for load, and understanding the impact of weather conditions on cell efficiency.
The workshop recommended choosing polycrystalline panels as an alternative to monocrystalline panels in manufacturing, especially when using wires with low resistance in commercial regulators. However, when using high-resistance wires, monocrystalline panels would be the more suitable choice. The polycrystalline panels are characterized by lower manufacturing costs while having an equivalent lifespan compared to monocrystalline panels.
