University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Attacks on Wireless Sensor Networks
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Basrah University organized a scientific lecture on attacks on wireless sensor networks.
The lecture aimed to present the general concept of wireless sensor networks, their key application fields, as well as their major advantages and disadvantages.
The lecture, delivered by faculty member Huda Abdul Raheem Ahmed, highlighted that wireless networks are more susceptible to external attacks than wired networks. These attacks primarily aim to cause service disruption and mostly occur at the network layer, but they can also affect other layers, such as the physical layer, the data link layer, and the transport layer. The lecture discussed the types of attacks at each layer and the appropriate defenses for each attack.
