University of Basrah Holds its Fifth Scientific Conference on Sustainability in Agricultural Development
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah held its fifth international scientific conference
With the slogan The Role of Sustainability in Developing the Agricultural Sector,the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah held its fifth international scientific conference in the presence of the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, the deans of the university colleges, and representatives of Basrah Governorate and its departments. After the opening ceremony began, the President of the University delivered a speech, followed by the Conference President and Dean of the College, Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Al-Shawi, who took the stage to deliver his speech, announcing the launch of the conference activities
The conference included lectures in the specialties of food sciences, soil, fish, field crops, agricultural mechanization, horticulture, animal production, and plant protection, all of which recommended following modern methods in agriculture and benefiting from the great development in agricultural systems and food production to meet the country's need for agricultural products.
