University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Soft Skills in Teaching for the Humanities
The Development and Continuous Education Centre at the University of Basrah held a lecture on soft skills in teaching for the humanities.
The lecture, which is part of a teaching methods course for the humanities, aims to enhance soft skills in education for university professors to improve academic performance and develop their leadership skills.
The lecture, presented by trainer Tharaa Abdul Rasool Hasan, included a detailed explanation of the linguistic and practical concepts of the lecture, including the skill itself, why we use the term "soft" for such a concept, and how to apply these skills to develop self-directed learning among students, foster innovation, and entrepreneurship. It is anticipated that these skills will play an important role in the future, with the ability to understand, comprehend, analyze subjects, engage in critical thinking, make smart decisions, and solve problems logically, as well as efficiently employ technology to achieve educational goals.
