A Phd dissertation at University of Basrah investigates the impact of humic acids on wheat productivity.
A Phd thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, examined the effect of humic acids extracted from various organic sources and bio-fertilization on soil enzyme activity and wheat productivity in sustainable agriculture.
The study, presented by PhD candidate Israa Anan Yousif, aimed to investigate the impact of humic acids sourced from different organic materials, along with bacterial and fungal bio-inoculation, on the activity and kinetic properties of certain soil enzymes, as well as the growth and yield of wheat.
The study concluded that the treatments with humic acids from various sources improved the growth parameters and yield components of wheat. The effects were ranked in the order of poultry waste, goat manure, and alfalfa leaves (wheat straw).
