University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on the Drug Epidemic
The College of Education for Humanities at University of Basrah held an awareness seminar entitled "The Drug Epidemic: Causes, Treatments, and Prevention Methods," attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal Al-Kaabi.
The seminar aimed to understand the harms of drugs, their spread among youth, and methods of treatment and rehabilitation for addicts.
Managed by several faculty members of the college, the seminar addressed the reasons behind the spread of drugs among youth and the role of family and education in mitigating it. It also covered prevention and treatment mechanisms, guidance procedures to combat the issue, the rehabilitation of addicts, and preparation for their integration into society.
