University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Impact of Obesity on Body Joints
The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the impact of obesity on body joints.
The lecture aimed to raise awareness about obesity, its causes, and the increased risk of joint degeneration in the knees, back, and feet due to weight gain.
Presented by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ridha, the lecture covered the major consequences and complications of obesity before and after patient anesthesia in surgical operations. It also highlighted how excess body weight can strain joints, especially those involved in daily activities such as walking, standing, and bending.
